Welcome to Osteria del Castello, a culinary gem nestled in the charming town of Arcidosso, Italy. This cozy Tuscan restaurant, located at Corso Toscana, 90, invites you to indulge in an authentic Italian experience that feels like dining at a friend's home.

The heart of Osteria del Castello lies in its exquisite Tuscan cuisine, where every dish is a celebration of local ingredients and traditional flavors. Picture yourself enjoying a steaming plate of pici cacio e pepe, where the handmade pasta is perfectly coated in a creamy sauce, or savoring the robust flavors of a wild boar ragù that has been lovingly simmered to perfection. The aromas of fresh herbs and the warmth of olive oil waft through the air, enveloping you in a comforting embrace that only Tuscan cooking can provide.

The atmosphere at Osteria del Castello is intimate and inviting. As you step inside, you're greeted by rustic decor that reflects the region's rich heritage—a blend of wooden beams, terracotta tiles, and a welcoming ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The art of hospitality shines brightly here, as the friendly staff, including the talented chef, ensures that each meal is served with genuine care. The restaurant is popular for its relaxed pace, allowing you to savor each dish and enjoy the delightful company of fellow diners.

Don’t just take our word for it; guests have been captivated by their experiences at this local treasure. One visitor, Lauri, describes it as a "great little restaurant with an authentic feel," and Florin Lungu praises it as "a very nice small place to enjoy great local food at more than affordable prices." The essence of personalized service is echoed by Maximilian Gotzler, who felt as if he was part of a "Tuscan family dinner with food cooked with love." While it's true that with only one waitress and one chef, your meal might take a bit longer, as K K mentions, the laid-back environment is part of the charm, allowing you to relax and relish each moment. Lama Lena succinctly encapsulates the restaurant's essence: a local woman crafting specialties based on the freshest market finds, catering to her local regulars and adventurous foodies alike.

If you’re looking for a true taste of Tuscany that embodies the heart and soul of local cooking, Osteria del Castello should be at the top of your list. It's not just a meal; it’s an experience that will envelop your senses and leave you with lasting memories of your time in beautiful Arcidosso.

Delicious food in good prices, but only if you are not in the rush. 1 waitress and 1 chef so everything is taking lots of time. Overall a nice little restaurant.

This is a local woman cooking local specialties according to what was good at the market this morning, for her local regulars and those who find her! Well worth a visit, lunch only.

Stopped in the town just to visit a pharmacy but thought we would stop for lunch. Pasta is all hand made, the taste - phenomenal! Would definitely stop by if you are here!

They took us as a group of nine with very little notice. Beautiful location at the bottom of the hill from the castle. Open glassed in kitchen making some remarkable food. Get the local Brolio Chianti.
